Sitio

A Salzburg-based platform for clarity, coworking, and calm.

A man with a backpack standing next to a stone wall.

You could call Sitio an idea, a project, a container, or just a dream. But it started as a reaction.

After getting burned by shady handymen while renovating an apartment, I realized something bigger was missing. A place, digital and physical, where you could work, stay, and build something real in Salzburg without the noise and the scams, or marketing speak. A space that helps people through transitions without pretending to be a lifestyle brand. That’s what Sitio wants to become.

Why Sitio Exists

Sitio was born out of frustration and clarity.

Frustration: from dealing with dishonest contractors, bad communication, and overpriced services that made a bathroom renovation feel like a nightmare.

Clarity: from realizing we needed a space of our own. A space built on honesty, quiet professionalism, and usefulness. Just tools, shelter, and focus.

It Started with an Apartment

The first thread was a renovated apartment. We moved in after the renovation mess and finally felt at peace. But we also realized: this space could help others.

What if someone like us, someone passing through Salzburg, rebuilding, or resetting, could stay here short-term without the drama of Airbnb or the coldness of corporate housing, while we go live and work somewhere else for a while?

We came to it while traveling through Asia, staying in hotel apartments we could move in and out of easily. That freedom stuck with us. It shaped how we thought about home. When we bought the 52 m² apartment, the goal was clear: create a place we could leave within half an hour. Flexible. Minimal. A place that made sense to us, and maybe also to people like us.

Sitio could offer that. A win-win. We get to live and work elsewhere for a while. You get a temporary home in Salzburg that feels just right.

We thought: maybe when we go on holiday, someone else could stay. A fellow nomad, an independent soul needing a base. And unlike the big platforms, it would be personal. Transparent. Local.

Then Came the Work

Once we lived in the newly renovated apartment, we no longer had an office. So Sitio started forming a second shape: coworking.

Not the startupy kind with events and kombucha. Just desks. Fast internet. Quiet. Professional energy without the performance. A shared space. Nothing more and nothing less.

People who need real work done, freelancers, digital nomads, resetters, deserve a space like this. And maybe, just maybe, some of them would want digital help too.

A Builder, Not an Agency

I’ve been building websites for years, not as an agency, but as a builder. Sitio is one more project in that line. It’s also become a quiet place where I can offer what I know. Clean WordPress builds with Bricks, developing brand identity, clarity in structure, and honest advice.

Not through a sales funnel. Not with a sales pitch. Quietly. For the people it fits.

I’m not looking for freelance work. I have too much going on already. But if you tell me about your idea and we click, my mind goes into overdrive. That’s a blessing and a curse. Mostly a curse because I always want to start new things, but rarely finish them.

That’s why I’ve made a rule: no new projects get added to my work ever again. The portfolio is closed. That’s the only way I can keep moving forward.

But if Sitio becomes real, if the coworking opens and the community forms, and you reach out and we resonate, then yes, I’d love to hear from you. I’m not offering services. But I’m open to the right collaboration.

Sitio Today

It’s not fully live. The coworking isn’t open. The apartment isn’t bookable. There’s no office sign on any door. We work from the apartment again.

But the idea is real. The direction is real. The values are real.

Sitio is:

  • A real apartment for temporary stay (even if not available to rent yet)
  • A coworking concept that cuts the noise
  • A consulting offer based on practice, not pitch

And above all, it’s a Salzburg-based home for small, useful, real-world value. Even if it stays just that, a quiet home base for me and Hyunok, it already works. And if it grows into more, it’ll be because it made sense to someone else too.
